Mandatory Availability (Peak Periods):

These periods are essential to the smooth running of the site.

Working Pattern:

• Days and hours are flexible and agreed around your personal, professional, and wellbeing needs
   

• Weekend working and split shifts will be required at times
   

• Days off and breaks away from site can be agreed, so you can still enjoy travel, adventure, and rest
   

Typical Hours:
8am – 8pm/9pm (These will be split shifts with time off and rest break.)

• Winter: February – March 2026

• Early Summer: May – July

Commitment:

• Ideally a minimum of one full season to support continuity and team stability

🌿 Role Overview

As a Camping, Glamping & Wellbeing Assistant, you will play a central role in the day-to-day life of Flowerdew.

This is a hands-on, people-facing, and varied role, supporting:

• Guests and campers
   

• Volunteers
   

• Wellbeing visits and experiences
   

• The Farm Director and core team
   

You will help ensure the site feels:

• Calm, welcoming, and well cared for
   

• Safe, inclusive, and respectful
   

• Aligned with our back-to-nature, low-impact ethos
   

This role suits individuals or couples who enjoy practical work, people, animals, and being outdoors, and who want to be part of something meaningful.

 

🔑 Key Responsibilities

🌻 Site Supervision & Support

• Act as an on-site point of contact for guests and volunteers
   

• Support daily site operations and assist the Farm Director
   

• Offer guidance, encouragement, and practical support to volunteers and guests
   

• Help with volunteer onboarding, inductions, and informal mentoring
   

 

⛺ Camping & Glamping Operations

• Oversee daily running of the eco camping and glamping site
   

• Guest check-ins and check-outs
   

• Maintain a warm, friendly, and calm guest experience
   

• Support new bookings, extensions, and guest enquiries
   

Housekeeping & Presentation

• Cleaning and changeovers of glamping units
   

• Ensure toilets, showers, and shared spaces are spotless and welcoming
   

• Manage rubbish, recycling, compost, and fire bins
   

• Tidy communal areas, picnic spaces, games, and equipment
   

Guest Experience

• Share information about farm and wellbeing experiences and optional extras
   

• Deliver pre-booked extras (logs, hampers, fire pits, experiences)
   

• Track payments and manage log bucket systems
   

• Provide local knowledge: walks, transport, taxis, beaches, and hidden gems
   

• Promote respectful, quiet, digital-music-free camping - back to basics nature camping
   

 

🔒 Safety, Security & Policies

• Monitor site safety, boundaries, and security
   

• Ensure guests do not enter animal enclosures or feed animals
   

• Uphold the Countryside Code, dog etiquette, and neighbour respect
   

• Record incidents, accidents, or concerns and escalate when needed
   

• Ensure signage and wayfinding are clear and updated
   

• Support safeguarding policies and procedures

• Manage and support parking, vehicle and number of cars and movement. 

 

🔧 Site Maintenance & Land Care

• General site upkeep and improvements
   

• Basic maintenance tasks such as:
   

  • Painting and repairs
     

  • Basic carpentry and building
     

  • Plumbing, electrics and practical fixes
     

  • Grass cutting, strimming, and land care
     

  • Gardening, flower beds, and baskets
     

(You’ll always be supported – this isn’t about perfection, just willingness and care.)

 

🌸 Safeguarding & Compliance

• Work closely with the Farm Director on safeguarding and risk assessments
   

• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and trauma-aware environment
   

• DBS check required upon successful application

• Community work, volunteering, or support roles  (Helpful but not Essential added bonus if you have mental health practitioner and or SEND experience)
